A surprising amount of time passed Nathan by as he attempted to find a more suitable area to hide. It must have been close to noon, considering; though it wasn’t summer yet, so Nathan couldn’t tell from the sun, but he figured he spent enough of two hours walking cautiously with his Ninja.

“Sal and everyone is long gone by now,” he said to himself in despondency. Would he never see his love again? He sighed.

Walking down the road it occurred to him that it felt a little too empty. Absolutely no one was outside. Vacant streets in the middle of the day let him know just how serious the meteorite warning was to the people of Westlock.

The second he saw a bike trail appear through the suburbia, it excited him. Nathan made his way across the street to the ravine and entered with caution. You never know what kind of cult-like behaviours might go down in a small town of upper Alberta. Luckily Nathan found himself alone. He rested his bike down and covered it with a blue tarp he bought on his shopping spree. A stump near the bike caught his eye and he took a seat.

Nathan gazed upon the nature in front of him, and a thought he once had struck him. “Oh!”

He flipped the tarp up and scrounged through his Ninja sac and pulled out his notebook and a pen.
